  • Management of organizations in the era of great transformation

    This is the second article in the series dealing with the topic of the great transformation. I have already explained in detail in the first article that this is a large subject area that goes far beyond currently frequently discussed topics such as digital transformation, work 2.0, home office work and New Work. In this article, I now propose a process that I consider meaningful and promising for harmonizing your company or organization as well as possible with the challenges of our time in the purpose of a location determination and realignment. This dynamic process, which is not to be understood as a concept or model, has the goal of promoting a more holistic way of thinking, which ultimately also leads to new types of structures, processes and an image of man that is better suited to the demands of our time. In my view, this is long overdue, because time is pressing, new approaches are required, and untapped potential that has been overlooked so far should be uncovered and utilized.

  • Era of great transformation - We are only at the beginning

    This is the first article in a series of articles dealing with the topic of the great transformation we are at the beginning of. The subject is complex, and the tasks to be solved are large and challenging. Not only because we are facing multiple changes that affect all areas of our lives. But also because there are so many of them (accumulation), which are coming at us at the same time, which have to be mastered under time pressure, and which are also closely related to one another (complexity). Digital transformation can support us in many ways in coping with the tasks ahead, but it is ultimately only one part of a larger and more comprehensive set of issues. As a first step, this article aims to show why this is the case and thus lay the foundation for further articles that propose concrete ways and approaches on how we can best prepare ourselves for the future that is not yet clearly defined. The path will ultimately be to not only anticipate our future as best we can, but also to actively help shape it based on this - as individuals, as companies and as a society.
