The IoT – high ambitions, slow conversion: What's going wrong?
Today, one could say the IoT has successfully proliferated and by now it is almost the exception if there is still an industrial company out there that is not concerned about the Internet of Things (IoT). According to a recent Gartner survey, 75% of industrial companies had already invested in IoT projects by the end of 2018. Before 2018, the figure was <25%. However if you ask around among the IoT managers of those companies, each of them has the feeling that they are "behind" and do not believe that they are making progress as fast as they should in order to remain competitive.
